Welcome to SAFCO

SAFCO (Spata Airport Fuelling Company) is a consortium created on an equity basis by BP Hellas, EKO ABEE, MOBIL Oil Hellas , and Shell Hellas. At the moment, SAFCO’s fleet consists of 21 Dispensers and four (4) Refuellers with total fuel capacity of aproximately 120m3. In addition, SAFCO provides handling for AVGAS 100LL, Aviation lubricants and Consulting on Aviation issues, such as airport fixed installations, fuelling procedures, aviation manuals etc.

SAFCO S.A. operates in accordance to JIG (Joint Inspection Group) guidelines, and uses the state-of-the-art Fuel Handling System (FHS), a fully automatic and radio linked dispatching system, directly interfaced to AIA’s Flight Information Data System (F.I.D.S).

SAFCO S.A. has adopted a systematic approach to environmental management, designed to ensure compliance with the law and achieve continuous performance improvement.

 TUV Austria Hellas, Accredited Verification Body for GHG emissions against ISO 14065:2013, accreditation number: 876-2, verifies with reasonable the GHG Emissions Report of the Company SAFCO S.A. for the reporting year 2019.

Άσκηση Ετοιμότητας – Readiness Exercise

Άσκηση ετοιμότητας πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 27 Οκτωμβρίου 2020 στις εγκαταστάσεις της εταιρείας SAFCO A.E. με συνεργασία της Πυροσβεστικής Υπηρεσίας του Διεθνή Αερολιμένα Αθηνών και συμμετοχή της Υπηρεσίας Επείγουσας Ιατρικής Βοήθειας του Αερολιμένα.

Το σενάριο της άσκησης προέβλεπε τον απεγκλωβισμό τραυματισμένου ατόμου μέσα απο δεξαμενή αεροπορικού καυσίμου κατά την διάρκεια συντήρησης.

A readiness exercise was held on October 27, 2020 at SAFCO S.A. premises with the cooperation of the Fire Department of the Athens International Airport and the participation of the Emergency Medical Aid Service of the Airport.

The scenario of the exercise envisaged the rescue of an injured person from an aviation fuel tank during maintenance.
